Toronto hasn't been kind to the Buffalo Bills since the team began playing one game annually at the Rogers Centre in 2008. Since, the team has gone 0-3 north of the border, with players complaining that the venue essentially gives the team one less home game per year. The Bills hope to reverse their fortune Sunday, against a reeling Washington Redskins club.
Both teams are dealing with serious injury concerns. The Bills will be without WR Donald Jones (ankle), DT Kyle Williams (foot), LB Shawne Merriman (Achilles) on Sunday, and most likely starting LT Demetrius Bell (shoulder) as well. The rest of the team should be relatively fresh coming off a bye week, however, which is more than the Redskins can say.
Washington will try to how to nip a two-game losing streak without the likes of WR Santana Moss (hand), RB Tim Hightower (ACL), TE Chris Cooley (knee/finger) and LB London Fletcher (hamstring). The Redskins are coming off a 33-20 loss to a 2-5 Carolina Panthers squad in which they turned the ball over three times and gave up 407 yard of total offense.
This game could be vital as both squads hope to, at the very least, vie for a wildcard spot near the end of the season. To do so, they will need to figure how to win with key pieces expected to miss extended time.
