NFL Picks And Predictions Week 5: Eagles Vs. Bills

Can the Bills get back in the win column after an upset by the Bengals last week? The Eagles are also desperate for a win, after losing three consecutive games.

Who exactly has to win this game? The Eagles have only started 1-3 or worse three times in Andy Reid's tenure as head coach. A free agent spending spree to make Dan Snyder blush and the self-applied "Dream Team" label only raised expectations, as well as the ire of non-Eagles fans.

The Bills jumped out to a shocking 3-0 start, adding to the legend by upsetting the Patriots in their third game. A trip to Cincinnati last week sent them crashing back down to Earth, and a second loss would only further the speculation that maybe the Bills were just an early season fluke.

Experts seem to mostly be picking the Eagles to pull it off this week. Pete Prisco at CBS explains why picked the Eagles:

The Eagles are really banged up with injuries. But Mike Vick will play here, and that's the most important thing. The Eagles have had trouble defending the pass, and the Bills can really throw it. The Bills lost for the first time last week, so the focus will be there. I just think the Eagles have to have this one and they will find a way. Andy Reid is good in bounce-back situations.

Peter King picks the Eagles as well. ESPN's panel of experts, and two super human robotic picking machines, all went with the Eagles, save for one holdout.
