The Patriots are an overwhelming favorite against the Jets in Week 5.
The Patriots and the Jets, together again in Week 5. And just like old times, all the expert NFL picks favor New England. The last time these teams met, New York ended New England's season in the divisional round at Gillette Stadium.
This time the Jets come in with captain-turned-anchor Mark Sanchez threatening to derail their season. In a Week 4 loss to the Ravens, Sanchez completed just 31.4 of his passes (!) and finished with a QB rating of 30.5 (!!!). Meanwhile, Tom Brady's passer rating sits at 111.3 and he leading the Patriots attack, having as fine a season as he has in the NFL.
The Patriots are favored by 9 points and everyone on the Internet seems assured they are going to win. The Picks: The CBSSports.com crew is 5-0 in favor of the Patriots and the NFL.com staff is likewise unanimous with it's selection of New England. On ESPN.com, 8 of 8 experts picked the Pats to beat the Jets, and Sports Illustrated's Peter King agrees.
