Blaine Gabbert and the Jacksonville Jaguars face a quietly strong Cincinnati Bengals defense and a red hot Andy Dalton.
Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback Andy Dalton's stock is trending up right now, after knocking off the Buffalo Bills, undefeated to until last week. Dalton and his fellow rookie, wide receiver A. J. Green, have developed a connection that is making for a more dynamic offense. Green trails only his fellow first-round pick, Julio Jones of the Falcons, among rookies for catches and yardage. Helping Dalton along recently is running back Cedric Benson. Benson topped 100 yards rushing last week for the second time this season. Marvin Lewis' defense ranks among the league's best.
Like Cincinnati, the Jacksonville Jaguars are struggling to sell tickets. The team is banking on a bright future from rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert, a first-round pick this year. So far, Gabbert has struggled. He sports a 47.8 percent completion rate. Maurice Jones-Drew has just one game with more than 100 yards rushing. Together they form the nucleus of the league's lowest-scoring offense.
