A foot injury was could not slow Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger this week. Matched up against a tough Tennessee Titans defense, the Steelers quarterback has four touchdown passes through three quarters of play.
Roethlisberger has connected with Hines Ward twice as well as thrown touchdown passes to tight end Heath Miller and tight end David Johnson. Big Ben is 20 for 28 so far with 162 yards and one interception.
Perhaps even better news for the Steelers, Roethlisberger has not been sacked so far in this game. The offensive line had been a serious concern for the Steelers. They signed veteran offensive tackle Max Starks earlier this week, and he is starting today on the left side.
Roethlisberger’s status has never been in question, but many wondered how effective he would be today operating on one good foot. He was seen limping during pregame warmups. So much for his foot holding him back.
