The Pittsburgh Steelers have had awful luck with injuries to their offensive line and linebacking corps this season. Tuesday, the injury crisis for the latter group got considerably worse. LaMarr Woodley, the Steelers' key pass rushing outside linebacker, will miss Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Woodley's injury is to his hamstring, though the exact extent of the injury is not known. It's bad enough that Woodley is already out for the Ravens game and likely out for the game after that against the Cincinnati Bengals, but apparently his injury is not severe enough to rule him out beyond that. When Woodley came out of the Week 8 game against the New England Patriots, he was replaced by rookie Chris Carter, who will presumably see extensive snaps against the Ravens.
The Steelers are currently on top of the AFC North at 6-2, but only a half game ahead of the Ravens and Bengals, who are both 5-2. Woodley's fellow linebackers James Farrior, James Harrison and Jason Worilds are also out with injuries.
