The Texans are 3.5-point favorites for their road matchup against one of the top teams in the NFC South, the Buccaneers.
The top team in the AFC South, the Houston Texans and an NFC South contender, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will square off in Tampa in Week 10, and it appears, based on oddsmakers, that the Texans have the edge. Our partners at Odds Shark had the Texans as 3.5-point favorites to open the week.
The Texans have performed admirably in the five and a half weeks they've been without Andre Johnson, as they're winners of three consecutive games. Johnson looks like a game-time decision again this week, but his team has adapted to not having him in the lineup, as running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate have transformed the team's identity into that of a ground-and-pound type.
The Buccaneers, on the other hand, are still desperately searching for an identity. Their inconsistency has been maddening, never more evident than in their past three games: beating the Saints, the losing to the Bears and the Saints after that. It's no wonder Vegas likes the Texans.
