After having what looked like a Vincent Brown touchdown wiped off the board for the San Diego Chargers after an Oakland Raiders challenge, the Chargers scored anyway. Philip Rivers connected on two passes, including a nice 17-yard catch and run by back up running back Mike Tolbert, the Chargers were setup in the red zone and scored on the next play.
There was confusion on the Raiders defense, as a safety attempted to call timeout because cornerback Stanford Routt was late getting on the field. Routt ran in on the play late, doubling up on the Chargers right end leaving fullback Jacob Hester wide open in the flat for an easy touchdown pass to cut the Raiders lead, 24-17.
Regardless, Philip Rivers was not impressed by the refs on the drive.
