NFL Picks And Predictions Week 10: Rams Vs. Browns

Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy revisit the Red River Rivalry this week as the Rams face the Browns in Cleveland.

Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Schurmur worked for St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo for two years before taking the Browns job this season. Both men have deep ties to Andy Reid in Philadelphia. Both the Browns and the Rams have become synonymous with futility. The connections do not stop there either. Quarterback Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford squared off against in each during their college days in the Red River Rivalry between Texas, McCoy's school, and Oklahoma, Bradford's old stomping grounds. Interest in this game mostly stops beyond that.

Mike Tanier at the New York Times predicts a Browns win.

This week, the Rams force three Browns safeties, as Colt McCoy keeps getting flagged for intentional grounding in the end zone. McCoy tries to argue that Chris Ogbonnaya and Montario Hardesty are eligible receivers, not radio contest winners who wandered onto the field wearing helmets, but the referees refuse to take him seriously. Nursing a 6-0 lead, the Rams make the fatal mistake of trying to play offense. They then punt to Josh Cribbs, who eludes all 11 defenders on a 99-yard return, carrying several teammates on his shoulders into the end zone.

ESPN mostly picks the Browns. The panel at CBS leans Rams.
