The Patriots and the Jets battle each other on Sunday night for first place in the AFC East and the inside track to the playoffs.
For the second consecutive week, Sunday Night Football will feature one of the best rivalries in football between two teams battling for first place in their division. While Week 9's Ravens-Steelers matchup was compared to a heavyweight title fight, the New York Jets and the New England Patriots hate each other off the field, but the game is typically just your average football game between two of the best teams in the NFL.
The Patriots beat the Jets in Foxborough in Week 5 by nine points, sending the Jets to their third consecutive loss on the road. Since then, the Jets have beaten the San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills, two playoff contenders, while the Patriots have lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants, also two playoff contenders. These teams have been tested against some of the top competition in the NFL.
The Jets, though, have yet to lose a game at home, and with the way Mark Sanchez has been playing, flinching or no, and facing the league's 32nd-ranked pass defense, this will be a tough win for the Patriots.
Game Date/Time: Monday, November 14, 8:30 p.m. ET
Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.
TV Schedule: National (ESPN)
