Knowshon Moreno Injury: Broncos RB Return Doubtful With Knee

Stay connected with SB Nation

Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno has suffered a knee injury and his return is doubtful, according to the official team Twitter feed. Moreno left the field and headed to the locker room.

Denver has already lost starting running back Willis McGahee to injury earlier in the game. McGahee hurt his hamstring and his return is questionable.

The Broncos are running the ball almost exclusively on Sunday against the Chiefs. Tim Tebow has thrown just one pass so far, but Denver leads 10-0 in Kansas City. Lance Ball is now getting the bulk of the carries for the Broncos who haven't gone away from the game plan even with this rash of injuries.

Tebow scored the first touchdown of the game on a 7-yard run. Tebow's eighth rushing touchdown of his career is the second-most in Broncos franchise history.
