Stay connected with SB Nation

Robert Meachem made a beautiful catch on a 33-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees. That play gave New Orleans a 17-13 lead over the Atlanta Falcons, in a critical division battle in the NFC South. Check out Meachem’s catch right here.

Meachem ran a post pattern to the back of the end zone, reaching up to make the catch in man coverage. That was Meachum’s second catch of the game. Both grabs were big ones. He caught a 36-yard pass earlier in the game. He has two catches for 69 yards. That represents the biggest game for Meachem since the first week of the season, when he had 70 yards on five catches in a loss to the Packers.

It was the second touchdown pass for Drew Brees. The Saints quarterback has 240 passing yards, completing 20 of 29 throws in the game so far. He has not thrown an interception.
