One week after Joe Flacco led the Ravens to a dramatic comeback victory over the Steelers, Baltimore lost to Seattle.
The Baltimore Ravens had just come off a stirring comeback victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. So, of course, they headed to Seattle and dropped a game to the lowly Seahawks, 22-17.
Marshawn Lynch ran for 109 yards and a touchdown in the victory, Steven Hauschka kicked five field goals, and the Seattle defense forced three turnovers by a Baltimore offense that was not nearly balanced.
That's what happens when Joe Flacco throws 52 passes and the Ravens give Ray Rice just five of a total 12 carries. Flacco threw for 255 yards on those 52 attempts, and Rice ran for 27 yards on his five carries.
Panic may have played a part in that: the Ravens trailed 10-0 after the first quarter, 19-7 at halftime, and 22-7 in the last minute of the third quarter.
The win moves Seattle to 3-6 on the year, and the Ravens fell to 6-3 with the loss.
