The New England Patriots and New York Jets are facing off this week on Sunday Night Football to see which team will take control of the AFC East. Early on, the Pats have the advantage on the scoreboard after Stephen Gostkowski was able to do what Nick Folk was not.
Gostkowski kicked a 50-yard field goal to give New England a 3-0 lead after the Patriots' opening drive sputtered to a stop after a solid start. Gostkowski's kick probably should have tied the game at three points apiece, but Folk's 24-yard chip shot on the Jets' opening drive went wide left.
Since that score isn't all that exciting, the NBC camera operators have done their best to find the interesting things in the crowd -- and are doing an excellent job of it, too, as the picture below featuring Shaquille O'Neal and Spike Lee will show.
The Jets haven't lost a game at home so far this season and Tom Brady's Patriots haven't looked quite as invincible as they have in the past so anything is still possible. Early on, though, New England is in the driver's seat for the AFC East.
