The New York Jets tied the ball game with a field goal in the second quarter and got the ball back after halftime, attempting to take the lead. On the first play of the second half, quarterback Mark Sanchez hit wide receiver Plaxico Burress down the field for a 30-yard gain. After two more Joe McKnight runs, Sanchez targeted Burress on the next three plays drawing a defensive holding and completing two passes for 22 yards.
A screen play to Joe McKnight got the Jets on the goal line, but it was nearly a heart breaking turnover. The Jets slammed McKnight up the middle of the defense and he looked like he was stopped, only to fumble the football. Luckily for the Jets, offensive lineman Matt Slauson picked up the ball and rumbled it in the endzone for a fat guy touchdown.
