While the Eagles still hope Michael Vick will be able to play on Sunday night, it's looking more and more like Vince Young will start at quarterback as Philadelphia faces the New York Giants. Vick suffered multiple cracked ribs in the Eagles loss to the Arizona Cardinals and has yet to practice. In his place, Young and Mike Kafka have been vying for the starting spot.
According to Jonathan Tamari, Young appears to be on his way to starting on Sunday, if practice reps are any indication.
We'll know more after Friday's practice, but all signs seem to be pointing towards Vick sitting and Young starting. If Vick is unable to practice again on Friday, it all but assures he'll be out on Sunday. If he is able to get onto the practice field, even on a limited basis, it leaves Sunday's game as an open-ended question.
