The Bengals and Ravens face off Sunday in Baltimore, vying for a piece of the AFC North lead with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens will try to rebound from a letdown loss to the Seattle Seahawks last week.
Good luck getting a handle on this year's Baltimore Ravens club. One week after completing their regular season sweep over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore was handed it's third loss this season by what should have been an outclassed Seattle Seahawks club. Luckily for the Ravens, Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals definitely qualifies as a big game, something the team has had little trouble getting amped for this season.
The winner of the match up will improve to 7-3 and take hold of a share of the AFC North lead with the Steelers. The Ravens may have expected to be in this position, but for a Bengals squad relying on rookies Andy Dalton and A.J. Green for key minutes, their success has come as a pleasant surprise. More impressive is a defense that ranks fifth in the league allowing 304 yards of total offense per game.
Of course, the Ravens rank third allowing just 285 per outing, and they still carry Super Bowl ambitions despite their occasional lapse in focus. Both teams have reason to dream big. After Sunday, someone's dreams will be a little close to reality.
