The Tennessee Titans righted their ship last week, knocking off the Carolina Panthers 30-3 in a game that saw running back Chris Johnson finally make an impact. After being a massive disappointment much of the year, Johnson ripped off 130 rushing yards and a touchdown on 27 carries, by far his best performance of the year. The Titans defense made rookie quarterback Cam Newton look like a rookie. The defense held the high scoring Panthers to just three points and will be looking to do the same to a Falcons offense that has put up at least 25 points the past six games.
The Falcons are coming off an overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints that saw head coach Mike Smith make a questionable fourth down call. The play failed and the Falcons turned the ball over to the Saints in striking distance, losing the game. Prior to Sunday, the Falcons had won three straight games. With a loss, both teams would fall to .500 and continue to mud up the picture in their respective divisions. Both teams are still in play in both the AFC South and the NFC South.
