Both the Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers will be looking to rebound from tough losses as they clash this Sunday.
The Detroit Lions are coming off a tough loss to NFC North Rival the Chicago Bears, 37-13. This week, the Lions will be looking to contain rookie quarterback Cam Newton, who is coming off his worst day as a pro. The Lions pass defense currently ranks fourth overall in the NFL, so it won't be easy for Newton to rebound. Quarterback Matthew Stafford will look to continue his connection with wide receiver Calvin Johnson and get back into the Wild Card race.
The Carolina Panthers are coming off a loss against the Tennessee Titans that saw running back Chris Johnson finally break out against the Panthers defense. Quarterback Cam Newton finally looked like a rookie, being shut down by the Titans defense. This week, Newton will have to deal with the Detroit Lions defensive line, who have been harassing quarterbacks all season long.
