The Oakland Raiders are in first place in the AFC West and will look to increase their lead against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a beat down thanks to the Green Bay Packers and rookie quarterback Christian Ponder will be looking to get the Vikings back on track. Ponder has looked solid in his handfull of starts, making more impressive plays than rookie ones. The offense will still need to flow through running back Adrian Peterson however, while the Vikings defense needs to improve and stop opposing teams.
Thanks to the inconsistency of the teams in the AFC West, the Oakland Raiders sit atop the division and can gain some more ground with a win over the Vikings. Quarterback Carson Palmer is finally looking like he's settled in, throwing for five touchdowns in the past two games, including 299 yard 2 touchdown performance last week against the San Diego Chargers. The Raiders defense, led by defensive end Kamerion Wimbley and his his 4 sack performance last week, will look to contain Adrian Peterson and harass the Vikings rookie quarterback.
