Last season's NFC West race came down to a Week 17 showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Rams, but that's not the case this season.
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a big win over the Baltimore Ravens and will continue to press forward in the NFC West, despite the fact that it's been nearly locked up by the San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawks won the division last season, beating the St. Louis Rams in Week 17 for essentially a playoff for the division title. This season however, both teams are under .500 and both are clawing for every victory possible. Running back Marshawn Lynch has seen new life in Seattle, picking up 109 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Ravens defense.
Last year's NFC West running up, the St. Louis Rams come into the game winning two of their last threw, including a hard fought 13-12 win over the Cleveland Browns last week. With quarterback Sam Bradford back in the line up and meshing with new wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, the Rams offense has been a bit better as of late. The Rams 12th ranked pass defense however will look to force the Seahawks into being one dimensional as both teams fight to work their way back to .500.
