One thing you often hear about the Green Bay Packers offense is that they have a multitude of weapons they can beat opponents with on any play. Green Bay dug deep today, flipping to the back of the playbook for a fullback dive using none other than defensive tackle B.J. Raji who punched it in from the one-yard-line on second-and-one to give Green Bay a 7-0 lead.
Check out the video of Raji pushing it through for the score:
Sure, Vince Wilfork may own the fat guy touchdown this season, but Raji gives him a run for his money. Raji even scored as an offensive player, getting the ball straight from his own quarterback.
That scoring drive started life as a three-and-out. Packers’ punter Tim Masthay pulled the ball in and ran with it as a Buccaneers’ defender came crashing through the line. Masthay fumbled it, but managed to recover for the drive-saving first down.
The Packers soon scored another touchdown, with Rodgers finding the unheralded Tom Crabtree from five yards out. Green Bay leads, 14-0.
