VIDEO: Cowboys Beat Redskins On Overtime Field Goal

Stay connected with SB Nation

There wasn't much room to spare, but the Dallas Cowboys beat the hated Washington Redskins on an overtime field goal by Dan Bailey. On initial viewing, the 39-yard field goal appeared to go just wide. But upon later replay, it looks as if the officials got the call right, as the ball passed over the top of the upright. It was Bailey's second field goal of the game and he has missed just one of his first 26 attempts this season.

The Redskins had missed a field goal attempt of their own earlier in overtime. On the first drive of overtime, Graham Gano missed a 52-yard field goal. The Cowboys then moved the ball 34 yards to get into field goal position. The big play of the drive was a 26-yard catch by Dez Bryant.

The Cowboys led this game late in the fourth quarter, but the Redskins tied it up on a short touchdown catch by Donte Stallworth with just 22 seconds remaining.
