Early Doucet, possibly upset about the big lead that the San Francisco 49ers held over the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth quarter, decided to pick a fight with one of the men responsible for the Cards' anemic offensive performance. Dashon Goldson was just sitting on the ground, minding his own business, when Doucet decided to give the safety a not-so-friendly pat on the helmet. Goldson didn't take too kindly to the gesture, as you can imagine, and retaliated in kind.
Check out the fight below.
Both players began throwing punches at one another and had to be restrained by teammates. Goldson was the one who got ejected from the game, however, proving once again that it's usually the retaliation, and not the provocation, that gets punished.
