DeSean Jackson Injury: Eagles Wide Receiver Heads To The Locker Room

Stay connected with SB Nation

DeSean Jackson is dealing with Vince Young, not Michael Vick, as his Philadelphia Eagles play the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. The change in quarterbacks may or may not have led to the wide receiver having to be examined in the locker room for further evaluation on his right knee.

Jackson made a pretty impressive play on an underthrown pass from Young. As he landed, Jackson bounced awkwardly and apparently injured his knee as he immediately removed his helmet.

Sideline reporter Michele Tafoya reported that the trainers had a lengthy conversation with Eagles head coach Andy Reid before sending him to the locker room. His status is listed as questionable, meaning there is a 50-50 chance of the wide receiver returning to Sunday night's game.

Jackson caught two passes for 39 yards as he was targeted three times by Vick. He also returned both punts, though he wasn't all that impressive in that position during this game.
