To the surprise of everyone, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley tried a little trickeration after the Chiefs took the lead over the New England Patriots with a field goal. The Chiefs lined up to kick off, then decided to kick it onsides!
It was nearly a perfect attempt, but the ball hit one of the Chiefs players legs giving the Patriots excellent field position. Unfortunately for the Patriots however, the Chiefs forced them into a third down and they turned the ball over. Tom Brady dropped back to pass and stepped up as the pocket was closing in on him. He got hit from behind by Wallace Gilberry. When Brady was hit, the ball popped out and Chiefs rookie defensive end Allen Bailey recovered it.
