Thanksgiving Football: Kevin Smith Suffers Injury, Questionable Return

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Detroit Loins are hosting the Green Bay Packers in the first of three Thanksgiving football games on the schedule and these two high powered offenses haven't scored early in the second quarter.

The only thing of note early in this game is an injury to RB Kevin Smith.

The Lions were driving into Green Bay territory when Nate Burleson took a handoff from Matthew Stafford and turned the corner on the reverse and getting the first down. Burleson was tackled and as the play ended Smith came up limping, apparently suffering some sort of leg injury. No word on what's wrong with Smith but the press box announcement is that he's questionable to return with a lower leg injury.
