NFL Odds And Lines Week 12: Bills Vs. Jets

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Bills' have been struggling in recent weeks, but Fred Jackson's injury has oddsmakers really looking down on them as they prepare to face the Jets.

How many points a game is Fred Jackson worth? Apparently quite a few. The Buffalo Bills running back is likely out for the year, turning what would seem like a reasonably even matchup against the New York Jets into one that oddsmakers see as a potential blowout. The Jets are favored anywhere from 8.5 to 10 points, according to OddsShark.

If not for Jackson's injury, this would probably be much closer to a 3-point spread, based simply on the fact that the Jets are playing at home. Neither team has been looking particularly good in recent weeks. The Bills are coming off three straight losses, all of them by at least 16 points. The Jets have lost two straight, with their last win coming against the Bills in Week 9.

Neither team has been particularly good against the spread so far. The Jets are 4-5-1, while the Bills are 4-6. The over-under is sitting around 41.5. This is not the kind of game you probably want to get too heavily invested in, but the Jets seem like a slightly better bet.
