Ray Lewis Injury: Ravens LB Inactive For Thanksgiving Game Vs. 49ers

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is inactive for tonight’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. It is the second week in a row that Lewis is inactive for the Ravens, and only the second time since 2007 that Lewis has been inactive. Lewis is dealing with a foot injury that he suffered in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks in week 10.

There were whispers that Lewis would be out for the season, but the linebacker pushed back on those assertions. In comments reported by Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times, Lewis alluded to some important division games coming up, including a week 17 showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Lewis’ status for next week is unknown. Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network noted that Lewis had been advised to sit until week 15, for a total of four games missed.
