The Panthers ran over the Colts to get just their third win of the 2011 NFL season.

The Carolina Panthers have been one of the NFL's least successful teams in the 2011 season. Lucky for them, then, that the Indianapolis Colts are significantly worse. Carolina went into Indianapolis and came away with a 27-19 win in Week 12.

For once, the Panthers didn't have to rely on Cam Newton and his passing game to keep a shootout close. Newton threw for 207 yards and no touchdowns, while the Panthers racked up 201 rushing yards. Jonathan Stewart had 70 rushing yards, DeAngelo Williams had 69 yards and two touchdowns, and Newton ran for 53 yards and a touchdown on his own.

That was more than enough to outpace the Colts, even though Carolina's defense yielded to Curtis Painter and Donald Brown. Painter threw two interceptions, but also tallied 226 yards and a touchdown through the air, while Brown ran for 80 yards and a score.

Reggie Wayne had one of his best days without Peyton Manning, catching five passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.

But that wasn't enough to stop the Colts from falling to 0-11 on the year. The Panthers improved to 3-8 with the victory.
