Andy Dalton and defense: that's how Cincinnati wins. The Bengals followed that blueprint for another victory over the Browns.
The Cincinnati Bengals have been winning in the 2011 NFL season with defense and Andy Dalton leading comebacks. That blueprint gave the Bengals their seventh victory of the season against the Browns in Week 12.
Cincy's defense held the Browns to 274 yards of total offense, while Dalton helped the Bengals roar back from 17-7 and 20-10 deficits with 16 points in the second half, as the Bengals earned a 23-20 comeback win.
Dalton threw for 270 yards and a touchdown to Jermaine Gresham in the win, and connected with A.J. Green three times for 110 yards. Running back Cedric Benson had 106 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Colt McCoy threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns in the loss, but completed just 16 of 34 passes and threw an interception. Peyton Hillis, starting for the first time in almost two months, ran for 65 yards.
Cincinnati improves to 7-4 on the year with the victory, while Cleveland drops to 4-7 with the loss.
