The Philadelphia Eagles took a quick 10-0 lead over the favored New England Patriots on Sunday, scoring on a LeSean McCoy touchdown run and an Alex Henery field goal on their first two possessions of the game. Since, the Pats have poured on the points behind two BenJarvus Green-Ellis touchdown runs and, most recently, a 41-yard touchdown pass to a wide open Wes Welker from Tom Brady.
Brady is now 11-for-15 passing for 190 yards and a touchdown on the day, perhaps on his way to a prolific performance like the ones he had to start the 2011 season. Welker is up to his usual tricks as well, garnering seven targets for four receptions and 74 yards with two minutes left to play in the first half.
Vince Young, starting in place of the injured Michael Vick, has struggled since finding Riley Cooper on a 58-yard pass on the Eagles' opening possession. The Pats hold a 21-13 lead at the moment, with the Eagles scoring on a 22-yard Henery field goal.
