Broncos Vs. Chargers: Tim Tebow Fails At Spin Move, Finds Eric Decker For Score

Stay connected with SB Nation

Tim Tebow still looks exactly like you expect him to: Young, inaccurate, and oddly effective. In the first half against the San Diego Chargers, his Denver Broncos went down 10-0 before showing some life behind big plays from Tebow. One of those plays was an 18-yard touchdown pass to Eric Decker with one minute left in the first half. Tebow pump-faked then found Decker running open at the goal line.

That play was much prettier than Tebow's attempted spin move earlier on the drive. Tebow, trying to make something out of a broken play, miscalculated exactly how far away opposing defenders were when he unleashed what he hoped would be a devastating spin. Instead, this happened:

The Chargers took a 10-7 lead into halftime. Both teams are fighting to separate themselves from the rest of a packed (and wholly mediocre) AFC West. Tebow has 45 yards on 3-for-7 passing and 25 yards rushing on the day.
