Giants Vs. Saints Score Update: New York Cuts Saints Lead With A Field Goal

Stay connected with SB Nation

The New Orleans Saints jumped out to a 7-0 lead over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football thanks to an interceptions by linebacker Will Herring in the endzone. After the score, the Giants got the football back and once again began marching down the football field. Thanks to a couple of runs by Brandon Jacobs and a reception by wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, the Giants were close to getting into the redzone.

A false start on the very next play back the Giants up, however with a false start. The next running play was stuffed and then Eli Manning forced a pass to Hakeem Nicks, but it was broken up by Malcom Jenkins. The Giants wound up settling for a field goal to cut the Saints lead to 7-3.

Clearly, the force is with the Saints tonight.
