The Miami Dolphins have yet to win a game this season, but there's a chance that all changes this week as they play a team missing its best player on offense and defense. Unfortunately that team is the Kansas City Chiefs as they come off of a good Monday Night Football victory, moving the Week 9 NFL picks in favor of the team that hasn't lost every one of its match-ups this year.
If there is an upside for the Dolphins, however, it's that they are in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes -- a fact Sports Illustrated's Peter King pointed out with predicting a 23-10 victory in favor of the hosting Chiefs.
I'm stunned by Kansas City's resurgence without three of its top five (arguably) players -- Tony Moeaki, Eric Berry, Jamaal Charles. Judging from the game the other night, the other two Most Important Players are Tamba Hali and Derrick Johnson, and I say they'll make life very difficult for the soon-to-be 0-8 Luck contenders.
Almost all of the experts all around the internet stuck with King, too. Yahoo! Sports was unanimous in picking Kansas City, four of the five experts at CBS Sports picked the Chiefs to win (though all five picked the Dolphins to cover the spread) and ESPN's panel of experts went with Kansas City as well.
