On October 2, Andre Johnson left the Houston Texans game with a hamstring injury and he hasn't played a down since then. This weekend will be the fifth consecutive game Johnson has missed as Texans head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed at his Friday press conference that Johnson would miss the game.
Johnson was originally expected to miss just three games but he also cautioned that it could be as many as six.
The Texans have gone 2-2 in games without him starting so they've shown theycan win, but not necessarily consistently. Their passing game is ranked 11th in the league right now.
Johnson is still second on the team in receiving with 25 receptions for 352 yards, just behind TE Owen Daniels who has caught 31 balls for 415 yards.
The Texans host the Cleveland Browns this weekend in a game they're favored to win. But if they're going to make the postseason and win any games there, they'll need Johnson back in the game playing well.
