Eli Manning didn't have a fantasy day to write home about on Sunday, but he did lead his New York Giants to a victory over the New England Patriots while delivering in crunch time. The quarterback threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns, including one with just a few seconds to go to tight end Jake Balland with his lone mistake being an interception.
Two years ago, it would be unfathomable to type this, but this week, there's no way around it: Eli Manning is a must-start fantasy quarterback. Unless you've got Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or Tom Brady on your fake team, Eli Manning was the guy you wanted. The quarterback behind the NFL's 4th-ranked pass offense is facing Brady's New England Patriots, the league's most generous pass defense, in Week 9
Though Manning's No. 1 target, Hakeem Nicks, went into the game a little banged up, Eli still has an armada of reliable targets to throw to in Mario Manningham, Victor Cruz, tight end Jake Ballard and Ahmad Bradshaw out of the backfield. Manning was expected to put up monster numbers in Week 9, so if he didn't, it just wasn't your week.
