Fantasy football owners take note: Roy Helu took over for Ryan Torain and Tim Hightower as the featured rusher in the Redskins backfield in Week 9. Helu rushed for just 41 yards on 10 carries. Of course, he also set a Redskins franchise record for receptions in a game with 14 catches for 105 yards.
These results are probably don't reflect a typical Helu experience. The 49ers are tough to run against -- San Francisco has not allowed a 100-yard rusher all season. And yeah, Helu is not going to catch 14 passes for 100 yards each week.
Torain had 166 rushing yards and 6 receiving yard on the season with 1 rushing touchdown entering Week 9. Torain was averaging 33 yards rushing per game and 1 yards receiving per game. Torain's rushing yards per game were down nearly 40 yards per game from last season.
Torain was ranked as the 35th ranked running back according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the San Francisco 49ers who rank 1st against the run, giving up 73 rushing yards per game.
