Darrius Heyward-Bey Fantasy Stats: Raiders Speedster Held Without A Catch In Loss

Stay connected with SB Nation

Darrius Heyward-Bey probably isn't a fan of new Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer. The speedster's fantasy football owners probably won't be, either, after learning of the wide receivers statistics in the team's 38-24 loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos.

Heyward-Bey was targeted just once, and he didn't catch it, as five other receivers recorded receptions on Sunday -- and fullback Marcel Reece had three catches, too, including a 40-yard touchdown.

Heyward-Bey had 434 receiving yard on the season with a single receiving touchdown entering Week 9. Heyward-Bey was averaging 72 yards receiving per game. Heyward-Bey's receiving yards per game were up nearly 50 yards per game from last season.

Heyward-Bey was ranked as the 24th ranked wide receiver according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the Denver Broncos who rank 19th against the pass, giving up 250 passing yards per game.
