Cleveland Browns tight end Ben Watson caught just two passes for 26 yards in a 30-12 loss to the Houston Texans. It was slow going for Watson and the Browns' West Coast offense as the Texans defense just closed the field on the short passes from Colt McCoy. With Peyton Hillis out, it was even tougher for the Browns offense.
Watson had 277 receiving yard on the season with 2 receiving touchdowns entering Week 9. Watson was averaging 40 yards receiving per game. Watson's receiving yards per game were down nearly 10 yards per game from last season.
Watson was ranked as the 21st ranked tight end according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the Houston Texans who rank 5th against the pass, giving up 189 passing yards per game.
