Vernon Davis caught four passes for 42 yards and did not get in the end zone on Sunday -- nothing for fantasy football owners to write home (or on Twitter) about. The 49ers only scored one touchdown, an Alex Smith pass to Bruce Miller, the fullback, in a 19-11 win against the Redskins.
Davis had 298 receiving yard on the season with 3 receiving touchdowns entering Week 9. Davis was averaging 43 yards receiving per game. Davis's receiving yards per game were down nearly 15 yards per game from last season.
Davis was the 10th ranked tight end according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the Washington Redskins who rank 12th against the pass, giving up 223 passing yards per game.
