The Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans face off in Week 9 of the NFL season in a surprisingly important clash with playoff implications
The Cincinnati Bengals were supposed to be a bad team. With a rookie quarterback, a rookie No. 1 receiver, other mediocre offensive options and a mediocre defense, most expected them to be among the league's basement dwellers. Instead, Andy Dalton and A.J. Green look nothing like rookies while the defense has been just good enough to help them to four consecutive wins. In Week 9, they take on the Tennessee Titans, another surprise wild card contender.
Following a couple of absolutely fantastic seasons, Titans running back Chris Johnson decided to hold out for more money. He eventually returned to the field and hasn't done anything to show he deserves a big check, rushing for under three yards per carry this season. He's actually starting to lose carries to Javon Ringer, and if the Titans are going to be a playoff time, Johnson is going to need to up his game.
