Rahim Moore Injury: Broncos Safety Suffers Concussion In Collision With Teammate

Denver Broncos rookie safety Rahim Moore was carted off the field after a nasty hit on the opening play of the game. Moore his his head in a collision with fellow teammate Andre Goodman. Moore hit his shoulder on a first-down incomplete pass by the Oakland Raiders. Here is a video of the hit.

According to the Broncos, Moore suffered a concussion on the play and will not return to the game. The NFL has strict rules governing concussions, and Moore will have to pass a battery of tests before he can return to action this season. 

Moore is Denver's starting free safety. A UCLA product, he was Denver's second-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, and many considered him to be the best safety in the draft this year. Moore had made five starts in seven games this season for the rebuilding Broncos.
