Wes Welker's apparent shoulder injury against the Giants may have been less serious than it first looked. This video of the play suggests the sort of shoulder injury that could knock a player out of a game.
Welker was attended to on the field, but did not leave the game; the Patriots finished that drive without completing another pass to Welker, and also missed a field goal to head to the half tied at 0-0 with the Giants.
Welker entered Week 9 with a neck injury, and was questionable to play today.
