No, that headline is not a typo. In overtime of the NFC West matchup between the St. Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals, rookie cornerback Patrick Peterson fielded a punt on the one yard line. He then proceeded to take that punt 99 yards to the house for the Cardinals, ending the sudden death game with a great return for a touchdown. I'm not sure if Ken Wisenhunt is going to be elated or absolutely furious with his rookie star. Who fields a punt on the one yard line? Kids, don't try this at home.
Because the San Fransisco 49ers keep winning games, this probably isn't terribly relevant, but Arizona have another win! Winning is good!
