Joe Flacco has not been an amazing fantasy quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens this season, but he salvaged Sunday night's game for the Baltimore Ravens by leading a late comeback drive to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers. His final drive didn't hurt those who started him on their fake team, either, as it resulted in his only touchdown pass of the game.
Flacco finished his night by completing 28 of his 47 passes for 317 yards and a lone touchdown to rookie wide receiver Torrey Smith.
It had been a rough few weeks for Joe Flacco prior to Sunday evening's win. He was once a promising young passer, and he still has ability, but he's grown more and more inconsistent, missing throws he hit just last year.
When Flacco is successful, he's feeding his tight ends — young guns Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta make a terrific team — pumping the ball in to Anquan Boldin and connecting on his deep throws with rookie speedster Torrey Smith. Before tonight, he had yet to have a game where he'd combined all that for a sustained stretch.
