Asante Samuel Injury: Eagles Cornerback Returns To Game

Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel returned to the field after being forced to the sideline with an injury in the first half against the Bears on Monday Night Football. Philadelphia has been banged up in the secondary on Monday; safety Nate Allen is out for the game after leaving the field and being diagnosed with a concussion.

It appears Samuel got hit below the belt. The video is below, you be the judge:

The Bears have been able to move the ball through the air and on the ground so far against the Eagles. Quarterback Jay Cutler is 7 for 12 so far and thrown for 85 yards. Matt Forte has rushed for 62 yards on 12 carries.

The Eagles are thin at safety this week with Jarrad Page inactive, but Philadelphia is in the unique position to weather a cornerback injury with Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Samuel on the roster.
