For the first time in awhile, Michael Vick looked quite average for the Eagles in Monday's 30-24 loss to the Bears. He completed just 21-of-38 passes for 213 yards, throwing one interception while failing to find the end zone. He also ran the ball five times for 34 yards. If he played just a little bit better, the Eagles likely could have won.
After a bit of a slow start, Vick had been stepping up his fantasy production in recent weeks. Over the four-game stretch entering Week 9, he averaged nearly 312 yards passing, about 67 yards rushing and had thrown seven touchdowns. All were significant improvements over his first three games this season.
His most recent game against the Dallas Cowboys was especially impressive. In Week 8, Vick completed 21 of 28 passes for 279 yards, threw two touchdowns and didn't throw an interception for just the second time this year and for the first time since Week 1.
As it is, Vick has been one of the better fantasy quarterbacks this year, even if his team's performance has not always been up to snuff. Vick entered the week projected as the fourth best quarterback.
