Jeremy Maclin Fantasy Recap: Eagles WR Falls Short On Final Drive

Stay connected with SB Nation

Jeremy Maclin was the Eagles' leading receiver in Monday's loss to the Bears. Unfortunately, on a night in which Michael Vick threw for just 213 yards with no touchdowns, that meant Maclin tallied just 63 yards, catching four passes. He gained nearly half of his yards on a single 31-yard reception. He gained nine yards on his final catch ... when the Eagles needed 10 to stay alive.

Apart from two games this season, Maclin has been mostly disappointing. He scored a pair of touchdowns and made 13 catches for 171 yards in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons. In Week 6, he made five catches for 101 yards against the Washington Redskins.

Aside from those games, though, he's been considerably less helpful. Week 8 was probably his best performance outside of those games, as he caught three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Still, SB Nation pegged Maclin as the ninth best wide receiver option this week. We projected him to register about 10 fantasy points.
