Tyler Palko is not a good quarterback. In fact, you could make a pretty compelling argument that he's the worst starting quarterback in the NFL right now. So, maybe it makes sense that he cares about padding his stats more than most.
How else to explain his frustration with Dwayne Bowe after the wide receiver failed to come down with this catch with the Chiefs trailing by 25 points?

The Kansas City Chiefs managed to score a touchdown on Sunday, believe it or not. After picking up just four yards in the first half, Tyler Palko tossed his second career touchdown to bring the Chiefs to within 35-10 of the New York Jets. It wasn't necessarily pretty, but Jerheme Urban came down with a 24-yard touchdown catch in front of a gaggle over Jets defenders.
It was the Chiefs second touchdown in the past four weeks. Of course, on the ensuing kickoff, they managed to perform one of the ugliest onside kick attempts in NFL history.

The New York Jets are supposed to be a pretty good defense, even if they haven't looked like one most of this season. The Kansas City Chiefs are not a very good offense, that's not surprise. But what's going on Sunday is still crazy.
Through one half of football, the Chiefs have compiled a total of four offensive yards. Yes, four. Amazingly, they managed to pick up a first down during their half of ineptitude.
The big culprit was the four sacks the Jets registered, which knocked the Chiefs back 26 yards. It was a pretty much horrid display all around, though. Tyler Palko also threw an interception, his seventh in the past four weeks. Palko has thrown just one touchdown during that time, a Hail Mary pass at the end of the first half of last week's game.
Somehow, the Chiefs did manage to score three points. They do trail by 25 and don't seem to have much hope of coming back.

There hasn't yet been an update as to what, exactly, happened, but New York Jets safety Jim Leonhard was taken to the locker room with what appeared to be a lower-leg injury. Leonhard has been a regular starter in the Jets secondary, making 47 tackles in 12 games this season.
If this is a serious injury, it would be the second straight season in which his season had been cut short. Last year, Leonhard was limited to 11 games after breaking his tibia on Dec. 3.
Leonhard's loss would be a blow to the Jets, who don't have much experience behind him. Tracy Wilson is Leonhard's primary backup at free safety. The 6-foot-2 rookie has played in just one game this season, making one tackle in his first appearance of the season last week against the Washington Redskins.
